How to Join

How to Join

STEP 1: Swim Assessment

The swim assessment consists of swimming 2-8 laps of various strokes to better understand each swimmer's ability and to determine which group level would be the most appropriate or if more lessons would be needed.

After the swim assessment, we will place the swimmer in the appropriate group level.  If a swimmer needs additional lessons before being able to join the team, we can give you info regarding that as well.

Please contact us to schedule an assessment.

**Masters Group Swimmers do NOT have to try-out (you can skip straight to step 2).

**Also swimmers who have swam on another swim team may not need to try-out.  As long as we know the group level you were in at your previous club, and/or your swim times from the SWIMs database, so we can determine which group would be most appropriate or if a swim assessment would be needed.

STEP 2: One Week Free Trial

Once swimmers are placed in the appropriate group level, they are welcomed to swim with that group for one week for free before committing to the team.

After that week trial, if a swimmer wants to continue with the club they will need to fill out all the necessary paperwork to join the club.

STEP 3: Swim Club Forms

Once a swimmer decides they want to join the swim club, we will give you all the necessary paperwork.

We ask that you read it, fill it out completely, and bring it back the next time you come to swim practice.

What is the paperwork?

  • Club Registration Packet
  • USA Swimming Registration Form (For Age Group Swimmers Only)
  • US Masters Registration Form - which can be done online (For Masters Swimmers Only)

STEP 4: Payment

Along with turning in your completed forms you will need to pay the appropriate fees associated with joining the club.

Fees Associated with the Swim Club:

  • Monthly Dues - New swimmers who begin in the middle of any month will have their first month's dues prorated (please talk to a coach to find out your prorated dues if applicable).

  • Initiation Fee - New swimmers will have to pay a one-time initiation fee.  If another family member has already joined the swim club, the initiation fee is waived.

  • USA Swimming or US Masters Registration Fee - This is a yearly fee and all swimmers must be registered with either USA Swimming or US Masters.
